The National Medical Association (NMA) represents Black Physicians, physician executives, podiatrists, other health professionals, academicians, and scientists who desire to deliver culturally competent care. We are dedicated to eliminating health disparities and achieving health equity. NMA’s Region IV members practice in Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin. Each year Region IV NMA hosts an annual conference to provide continuing medical education on various topics impacting the health and well being of Black patients and physicians. In 2025, Region IV’s annual meeting will take place on May 2 – 4, 2025 at the Hollywood Greektown Casino in Detroit, MI. Our host society is the Detroit Medical Society. This year’s theme is PREACH: Politics, Race, Economics, Acculturation, Climate, and Health: Spreading a Message embedded in science, health, and total wellness.
